Clark posted a 17-under cumulative score at the BMW Championship to win the tournament by three strokes over Patrick Cantlay.
Analysis:The tournament was Clark's to lose after the American posted a scorecard of 64-64-65 through the first three rounds at Bellerive Country Club. However, he briefly lost the lead in the final round after going three-over with three bogeys over his first 10 holes, allowing the pack -- led by Cantlay and Rory McIlroy -- to catch up to him at the top of the leaderboard. However, while others faltered on the back nine, Clark was able to separate himself from the field with three consecutive birdies from holes 16 to 18 to secure the win. Clark ranked in the top-16 in all major SG categories, including second in approach (plus-5.27 strokes). The 32-year-old has had an incredible second half of the 2026 PGA Tour season, with victories at the BMW Championship, THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson and the U.S. Open, and he'll end the season third in the FedExCup Standings behind Scottie Scheffler and Matt Fitzpatrick. Up next is the TOUR Championship, where Clark finished third in 2023 and eighth in 2024.
