Gotterup registered a one-under 69 in the final round of the BMW Championship to finish tied with Collin Morikawa and Gary Woodland for fourth.
Analysis:Gotterup opened the tournament with a bogey-free, six-under 64 first round that included three consecutive birdies from holes 13 to 15. He saw his score steadily decrease over the next three days, but he was within striking distance of the top of the leaderboard Sunday after Wyndham Clark's slow start. Unfortunately for Gotterup, he was unable to convert on many of his scoring opportunities in the final round, finishing with two birdies and one bogey. It was his fourth top-5 finish of the season, and he ended the tournament first in scrambling, fourth and fifth in SG: Around and Putting, respectively, and T10 in birdies. Up next is the TOUR Championship, where Gotterup finished T10 last year.
