Griffin carded a two-over 72 in the final round of the BMW Championship to finish tied with Bud Cauley and Alex Fitzpatrick for 44th.
Analysis:Griffin entered the week 38th in the FedExCup Standings and needed a big finish to jump into the top-30 to qualify for the TOUR Championship. He posted a two-under 68 score Thursday and Saturday, but that work was outdone by his three-over 73 second round and his performance Sunday. Griffin ranked in the top half of the field in SG: OTT, Approach and Around, as well as T15 in driving accuracy. However, he struggled with his putter, and his 7.94 strokes lost on the green was dead last in St. Louis. While he won't tee off next week in Atlanta, Griffin's spot in the top-50 of the Standings guarantees his spot in all Signature Events in 2027. His next chance to play on the PGA Tour is at the Biltmore Championship Asheville on Sept. 17.
