Sampson (knee) is back participating in team drills at practice, per Sawson Eiserloh of ESPN-Southwest Louisiana.
Analysis:Sampson suffered a hyperextended knee earlier in fall camp and has been considered questionable for the season opener ever since. However, the wideout has worked his way back into team periods, and his return to 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 action is a good sign he's trending in the right direction with the opener less than two weeks out. That's big news for the Ragin' Cajuns, as Sampson projects as their top receiver after a 32-catch, 537-yard, six touchdown campaign last fall.
