New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. appears to have been confused about a play he couldn't convert during the 10th inning of Saturday's walk-off loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
With the bases loaded and one out in the inning, Chisholm had an opportunity to get his team out of the jam when Rays first baseman Jonathan Aranda hit a potential double-play ball his way.

Chisholm failed to field the grounder cleanly, but could've tagged the runner heading to second before throwing to first to end the inning with the game tied.
When asked about the play following the loss, Chisholm admitted he wasn't sure which runner he should have tried to get out first.

However, Yankees manager Aaron Boone refuted Chisholm's claim, saying that he believes the two-time All-Star knows the rule in question and used a "default answer" during his interview.
"He's not confused on it," Boone said ahead of Sunday's game, according to YES Network.
New York's loss to Tampa Bay was its fourth straight, dropping its record to 8-6.
