Former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will visit the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.

Reports have suggested the Vikings are pursuing Murray, who officially became a free agent Wednesday after being released following seven seasons in Arizona.

The belief across the NFL is that the 2019 No. 1 pick will likely end up signing with Minnesota, Schefter adds.

However, Murray also plans to meet virtually with three to five teams that will potentially need a quarterback in 2027, his agent told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The 28-year-old is expected to ink a one-year minimum deal in 2026, as the Cardinals still owe him $36.8 million in guarantees next season, Pelissero adds.

Murray had successful moments over his tenure in Arizona but never took the team to the next level, appearing in one playoff game with the club. The two-time Pro Bowler has also struggled with injuries in recent years, playing only one full season since 2021.

Murray averaged 3,998 yards and 24 passing touchdowns against 12 interceptions per 17 games in Arizona. He also contributed as a rusher, averaging 624 yards and six TDs on the ground.

In Minnesota, Murray would presumably compete for the starting job with 2024 top-10 pick J.J. McCarthy.
